Pet notifications are annoying

It's annoying every time my pet gets a little hungry the game tells me they need feeding, also I've got a mod that allows me to control my pets/see their needs and I've noticed pets consistently let their hunger need get down into the red regardless of the availability of food.

I'm not sure if this is a bug but I can say that this isn't happening due to mods and cc I have because this happened before I even started filling my game with mods. Can the pop ups please be reviewed? I've noticed the little "!" balloon that pops up when your pet needs you so I don't understand why the pop ups are necessary or why my pet won't eat unless it's told to until it's hunger need is in the red.

it's annoying to you because the mod makes the information redundant.. but to the rest of us who dont use the mod it isn't annoying, it's just useful information. The exclamation bubble only shows up when the pet is desperately in need of help.

Actually I had this problem with it before I got the mod put on because I like to use the auto feeding bowls, I have no issue with there being a notification system in place to alert us to when the animals are starving but not when there's sources of food for them.

Also this all being said, the notification system is redundant when there is also the system in place with the exclamation point on the pets sim icon to let you know they really need food. Plus the notification pops up like 10 times a day, sometimes more, when there's never been a reason for my pet to be starving or have it's food need low. It might be better if instead of that notification we just got "(Insert pet name here)'s food bowl is empty, you should refill it!" and have the ability to assign pets to certain food bowls.
  • I can see how that would be annoying. I rarely see those notifications though because I have my sims direct the dog to eat twice a day. Once in the morning after the dog has a walk and then in the evening right before the family has dinner. Same thing for toddlers. They have a schedule and I never just leave food out for them.

  • It is annoying to me when my adult dog cannot seem to find his way back to his food bowl. when he has two auto feeders and both are full. An I get a notification that he is hungry.
We should, however, get a notification that they are thirsty because they never get water.

It is annoying we get the notification our pet is hungry when there’s a perfectly good and full food bowl ready for them.

I also find it annoying when we get the notification for toddlers too when I have food available on the counters. They take forever to go over and grab it and eat.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
