Have no issues with the Sims 4 base game becoming free as with most games, they usually become freeware, a bonus download with another game (or bundled with all other sims packs like Sims 2 - which was given away for free for a while) or sold very cheaply as a discount.

It provides more attention for the company which allows the game to expand or move on to other game versions of it (Sims 1, 2, 3, 4 etc)..
