Playful is becoming an issue

Very recently, maybe in the last few days, a LOT of my sims are becoming playful and then very playful and then hysterical and that's leading to death by laughter
It's so bad I've had 3 sims nearly die in one gaming session from hysteria (it happens real fast) and I had to exit the game so they wouldn't die and when I get back I can't play as them for several sim days or the hysteria is still active

Is anyone else having a hysterical death problem?

I have aging off and haven't seen the reaper in my game until CoL and the death of livestock brought back death... and now death by laughter quite specifically

I'm not. My sims very rarely become playful, maybe after a bath, but that's about it.

No, can’t say I have. Is there something on your lot triggering the moodlet maybe that you can remove?

@Pamtastic72 no there's nothing that's triggering it that I've seen so far and it happens really easily and very quickly like I don't have time to send them to take a thoughtful shower or to a chess board or even to flirt to try and change the mood. It's so fast and comes seemingly out of no where

*edit sending them to a mirror to calm down actually makes it worse so I've stopped that

I turned off emotional deaths with MCCC. It's not really something I enjoy having in the game.

What about mods? Do you have any mods that might be causing it?

Nope. The only Sim lately that is getting playful has the goofball trait. If anything, my Sims seem to being getting "emotionally mindful" out of no where.

not really i still havent had a sim die from laughter in sims 4 ive even tried to few times and did not succeed

though i have noticed they are playful more often these days which tbh i welcome cause it was pretty nonexistent emotion in my game before

might be goofball trait tho as i don't use it often

Was the latest batch of laundry "dry and warm"? That gives a playful mood. And coupled with enough positive moodlets, it may make a sim hysterical.
