polar bear swim

Question

I took my sim swimming in the lake by the univercity and it didn't work. I think a polar bear swim is typically in the ocean or lake not swimming pools.  Is it a glitch that this wasn't fullfilled or is it set up to work in pools only?

Yes it was cold enough, I had to pull my sims out of the water because they were turning blue. Also there was snow on the ground. Ocean swimming wasn't a thing till island living but since they added lake swimming in the uni districts I incorrectly it seems , assumed that the polar bear swim would also be included . especially since there is no pool there.

I don't know given that when Seasons was created ocean swimming was not a thing.

That said are you sure it was actually cold enough? It's not enough to swim in winter, the temperature must be "cold" or worse.
