Police station disappeared

I am sorry that you are having this issue. Try starting a fresh new save game, have a sim there join the police career, then go with him to work. When at work, type in to the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Press enter.
Then type in
bb.enablefreebuild
Press enter
Then save the career lot to your library. Exit the game. Go back to your original game, go with your sim to work, enter the cheats , enter build mode, then place the libary version of the police station onto the lot.

I tried the above suggestion, only I didn't do a fresh new save game. I just enabled free build in the existing game, got the lot from my library, saved it all, didn't exit the game at all, but went to manage worlds and started over with the same Sim. It worked!

But, WHY did this happen at all? Does anyone know?
