Pollution in all worlds?

To be honest you can't blame the Devs for wanting to show off the new world in the first trailer. Seasons didn't come with a new world so there couldn't be any confusion there.
And as for Strangerville, well what's going on there is awful enough without adding pollution. Maybe they've put down a quarantine that has resulted in a mass-lowering of pollution? I suppose it's the storyline that causes it.
I actually have a story in my head (that won't work in actual gameplay because Strangerville isn't affected, but maybe I can fake it) that the source of the infection is actually responsible for getting rid of the pollution there.
