The ONLY thing good about preordering expansion packs is that you can download it early if you use a VPN. Which IS allowed, but using a VPN to BUY the pack is strictly prohibited. ?

Yes this. Depending on where you live, this allows you to download EPs up to a whole day earlier. And that is the only reason for pre-ordering them. Other than that, as you and others have stated, there's no real benefit to pre-ordering sims expansions of any kind, except for being able to say that you already own them before they've released xD So yes, even if GPs could be pre-ordered, the VPN thing wouldn't work since we all have to wait for the US release. I kinda wish they would at some point give an actual reason for pre-ordering anything though, but alas.

I always thought you could pre-order game packs? I never tried it though, just for two expansions. I don't think it matters too much as the price is usually the same as new games don't go on sale right away and since it is digital; you don't have to worry about it running out of stock, it just means to can download it the minute it is released.

Aww darn, hopefully in the future they make it so GP's are able to be pre-ordered. I know for me I'm super excited & would totally be willing to hand the money over a few weeks in advance, just to download the day of.

I always buy Sims 4 packs only from Origin so no pre-ordering this pack. Hopefully, it will be released "early" in Australia so I can use VPN to download it a day before it releases here :#

i like getting mine from origin also..plus i have that origin access also..i just have to wait until i can get it on origin.

Actually, you can pre-order on Best Buy for Xbox1, PS4 and Windows/Mac, but you wouldn't be able to play it any sooner than the release date. I just did, I had some reward points laying around that I had to use, so I saved $5. I'm glad I'm on PC!
