Prom every week?
Is prom going to be at the end of every week? It kind of looked that way on the stream. I imagined it at the end of school but I don’t play a typical lifeline and my teens stay teens for a long time....

I’d imagine it’s also easy to skip if the household needs to do something else that night, like the current festivals. Even if the other kids are talking about it, it’s probably easy to ignore.
You probably will still be stuck with prom interactions (dances, the whole promposal thing, prom queen and so on)
I assume some of those things are optional though. I imagine you can ignore them like you can ignore tasks on dates and weddings (the original kind, I don't know about the ones in the wedding pack).
