- Yes you can! I just tested it out because I had made a skeevy 1970's Gritty Laundromat https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/97884F6A034E11E889AF4C4F02C5D395 and never tested it out until now.
Don't put any hampers in your Sim's home. Take the piles of laundry and put them in your inventory and put them down or in a hamper at a laundromat. Do the laundry (sometimes other Sims at the lot will help you out LOL) & put the folded pile back into your inventory and go home. It works! "Cellardweller;c-16955465" wrote:

Thank you so much, going to try this out, can't wait, ty again!- floridameerkat7 years agoSeasoned AceHow do you get laundry piles if you don't have any laundry items on the lot? Don't you only get them if you have a washer, dryer, clothesline, washtub, and/or hampers?
- Bearpal647 years agoSeasoned AceYes you need to have at least one laundry item I believe.
- Whoops, I forgot to mention about having a laundry object on the lot. Good catch, all!
- Stina1701A7 years agoSeasoned AceThis is actually a great idea. I have a retail lot that I haven't done anything with and is quite defunct mostly because noone owns it or takes care of it. Adding a laundromat when I get around to sort it out, would be great.
