Yeah, you can rename the breed to create a custom one. I had to do that for my Morgan/Quarter Horse cross. They have a Morgan, they have a Quarter Horse, but they don't have a cross (other than calling it 'mixed breed' so I renamed the breed. As well as doing it for Haflinger as well.
