Question about jungle adventure: why so many townies in the jungle?

I haven’t got too deep into the Jungle with my archeologist yet, and haven’t played her in awhile, but when I set up a tent for her to sleep it’s usually fairly close to a pee bush. I think they did a great job in making Jungle adventure. They pretty much thought of everything that was needed, especially if you add oudoor retreat to Jungle adventure too, the two packs are so compatible.
