I grow attached to my Sims and thus don't feel like seeing them age and/or die. So why replace Sims I'm perfectly happy with? I play their life story and enjoy having them try out new stuff that is added to the game or mods. They are my little creations that I care for :)
Same! I played the same family for the first 3 and 1/2 years of the Sims 4 and only recently started over with a new family. I start with a single female sim, she gets married, then they start a family. My current family consists of parents, a toddler, child, and teen. The kids will eventually age up, the young adult will move out and the parents will have another baby. I like having one of each age group around. Both sets of grandparents are in the game so I also get to interact with elders when the whole family gets together.
