Questions About Sulani Mana and Signature Drinks

I have a legacy save that gen 16 acquired the Sulani Mana trait after being born from a Island Spirit mother. It was passed to every further generation through Gen 46 until that sim used the Reborn feature. It was also that gen that I had to restart my save file because of For Rent corruption. I can't remember entirely the details of everything that transpired but I'm pretty sure it was the rebirth not the moving save files that led to me losing the trait.
