Quick Question: Do Sims need a Surname?

You could give him a nickname or street creed name for a surname.

You can, but afaik you won't be able to use cheat codes that take a first and last name (like resetSim).

If you can think of a guys name you can split in half, that may work. Sadly I can only think of a girls name like Anna Bell.

Ii can think of 1 guy's name that could be split into 2 names. And that name would be Fred Rick.

You could give your sim’s last name as Streetguy.

Or Han Solo, lol! ;)
Yes you need two names. I have noticed some people put in a . for the second name often as a place holder. Especially for pets.

I like to use ''Sim'' when I haven't picked name/don't want to pick name like ''Sim Sim'' ''Simmingal Sim'' so forth
or if its someone I use for like small npc role then I might just go with ''Social Worker'' or ''Mail Carrier'' or whatever :lol:
or it could just be stuff like '' Innocent Passerby'' ''Creep Creepings'' ''Alien Alienson'' ''Smith Smith'' list is endless
oh or you could use world they live in as the surname thats option too like ''Vlad Forgotten'' ''Mister Hollow''

I'm fairly certain that you can use a space as a last name.

As @mightysprite said, that might make it difficult to use cheats, but if you want to cheat, you can always use cas to give them a temporary surname, use your cheat, then change it back to a space.
