How Do You Decide Where To Live?
There are so many worlds in the game now, I just cannot decide what to do. Usually I play on rotation in the same game save and use maybe four or five different worlds for the sims to live in, but I am still missing out on so many! How do you decide which world your sims will live in and how often do you change worlds? Do you have any worlds just for community lots or vacation lots or other specific types? ---------------------------------------------- UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone who replied ❤️ I've gotten some good ideas and think I am going to be less regimented from now on! I am going to just go with a random number of households in all the worlds that I think will suit their storyline, just swapping whenever I feel like it, and do ageing for everyone on long lifespan. I will keep Newcrest for a big variety of community lots and a couple of my less favourite worlds are going to be just for vacations. Maker Space Additional Packs Used Eco Lifestyle Employee Tasks Mentor Run Classes & Lectures Owner Tasks Clean Scrap Crafts Repair Customer Tasks Attend classes and lectures Fabricate Handiness Set Up I created three classrooms (woodworking, candle making, and fabrication). I hired two employees (one for lectures and one for mentoring). I trained the employees by giving them lectures so they could reach level 5 of both the handiness and fabrication skills. I also had a small shop in the front, but no one shopped from it because I didn't set the task for shopping. Problems I Ran Into You can't mentor on the candle making station. The option isn't available to mentor Sims. The fabrications classes require level 5 of the rocket science skill. I only had level 5 of the fabrication skill. The employees also only had level 5 of the fabrication skill. I didn't train them in rocket science. [BH] Several classes/lectures don't work | EA Forums - 11968151 Customers don't use the fabricator or the candle making station during the fabrication class. Customers don't finish their crafts. They always abandon them. The candle making stations weren't autonomously cleared. [BH] [GT] Certain objects aren't cleaned by employees/club members | EA Forums - 12239563 I got two last exceptions related to the pack. Final Verdict Even though there were a good number of problems, I will classify this business as a win because it mostly functioned. The Sims 4 is a buggy game so I'm trying to be fair.Danger Kid
Has anyone been able to trigger the Danger Kid formative challenge? I really want a particular child to do this but cannot think of many 'dangerous' things for him to do which may trigger it. I had him play out in the rain during a thunderstorm, play with a cooking fire pit and I had him try to talk to the monster under the bed... I thought one of those would have done it but, nope. I will be taking and answering mainly questions about gameplay - Skills/Traits/Aspirations/Career/Venues/Systems/Lore - and anything else you guys want to know about! I will be testing with ALL PACKS in as I believe this is yet another pack with endless cross-compatibility possibilities. Now that we know a little more about what is coming, what plans do you have for getaways, custom venues, etc? Cinderellimouse , lilsimsie , and EmmaVane have given me an idea for a way to make money from finding a spouse for a Sim just starting out. You need Lovestruck and AA. Set up your Sim on a lot. When you get the offer to have 7 perfect dates, accept it. Set up a getaway on your home lot. Have 7 prospective spouses as your participants, and begin dating them. Choose player elimination as your way of eliminating them. It's possible to have at least 2 perfect dates in a 24-hour period, so do that. When elimination time comes, send home one of the first 2 Sims you dated. Date 2 the next day, and repeat. When you've finished your 7 dates, end the getaway. You'll get 25,000 simoleons for the 7 perfect dates and 10,000 for hosting a getaway, and hopefully, your Sim will have found the love of his or her life.628Views10likes18CommentsAdventure Awaits CAS And Build/Buy?
Hello! I'm sure there's a really easy answer or post or what have you about this that I've just not seen yet. That's often the case of this sort of thing! *LOL* But could someone please direct me to where I can find a list (With pictures please!) of the CAS and Build/Buy stuff that comes unique to Adventure Awaits? I'm really on the fence about whether to get this EP or not. I honestly don't see myself doing much with the "adventures" part of it as far as making and/or sending sims to the different locations you can have them do and experience stuff at. Though who knows, maybe I'd change my mind? However, I'm VERY interested in the new pool stuff! Don't like that it's behind a pay-wall though. I mean they gave us pools for free in an update when they came out. Why not give us at least ONE free diving board and slide as well? Geez... ANYWAYS, I AM also VERY interested in the Imaginary Friend dolls! I saw a post where someone had shared what they all look like after they're made into real sims. Love it! And their outfits too! Soooo, I'm hoping if I'm able to see what the CAS and the Build/Buy stuff in this EP are all like, that will help me decide whether I really NEED this pack? Or not? I have some other EP's that I no longer have installed on my computer, because quite frankly I can no longer RUN said computer, with all the EPs, GPs, Stuff Packs and Kits that I have already! With the new adventure awaits releasing soon I am thinking of creating a custom boarding school, probably for spellcasters or supernatural sims in general. With the new custom venues and getaways it seems possible to create a recurring weekly getaway for teens (because supernatural children don't exist. They only got a supernatural icon but no gameplay) I wonder what happens to base game school when sims are on a getaway. If this really causes problem I would set it to only saturdays as a sort of extra carricular activity for teens next to traditional school. During daytime I can set activities like cast spells or use cauldrons to simulate classes. In the livestream at around 1:20:43 you can see them listed as activities for getaways. In the evening they can even have one hour of astronomy class with telescopes. Perhaps a gemology class or paranormal medium activity can add some more flavour. The night activity will obviously be sleeping. I think this sytem might actually work to create a magical school situation. There can be staff to prepare meals and clean up the place and teachers, I don't know yet what role I will give the teachers. It all depends on whether or not the whiteboard from the small business pack can be combined with the rules. Is anyone else planning on making a school or boarding school. We've all seen them, the towniecore mavericks. The ones who've never met a mismatch they didn't like. They don't care about color coordination, stylistic cohesion, or moderation in accessories. Some consider them offensive, as evidenced by this bug report. Others find them amusing, as evidenced by this thread. What do you think? Are the towniecore mavericks fashion terrorists or fashion freedom fighters? Do we need a crackdown or should we just let them be? 😴 Whatever. You can call me fashion unconscious, but I really don't care what townies wear. 😎 Let the townie flag fly! The Sims would be less colorful without our towniecore mavericks. 🤔It's a little much. I don't mind townies having some individuality, but maybe they could make some adjustments to prevent the more egregious offenses. For example, lowering the likelihood of spawning with accessories, or giving each towny a filter setting for color and/or style. They need to change the outfit generation process so that townies can only get their outfits from a selection of pre-set, carefully coordinated ensembles. My supersim is finally tackling the for rent aspirations. She is temporarily in a throwaway save. In my storyline she is dreaming of an alternative life and once she is done with the aspirations she will 'wake up' in her normal save with the aspirations ticked off for my list. The question is how to best approach rental units. Should I completely set up the rental units and then start renting them out or can I build and improve while there are already people living there. I am currently in the process of creating a rental lot from scratch to avoid problem with downloading rental units. I have one apartment for my owner and 4 small units to rent out: one two bedroom apartment and 3 studios. For now it is still a regular lot, I will convert it to a rental unit very soon. Does anyone have tips or tricks for me? Does and don't that minimize the risk of lot corruption.102Views2likes3Comments
