Random people in house….

Ok ever since the new update, if I don’t lock the front door, everybody and I mean everybody comes in and uses all the stuff. It’s so annoying. Anybody else have this problem? I’ve tried to just allow friends and neighbors but they still pop over and I can’t get anyone to leave either. I finally had to shrink down my house so that they were on the outside, locks the doors and they finally left. But the problem is now, friends can’t come in. What is going on?!

  • Same advice I gave in your other thread applies here. It's probably a mod causing it. Use the 50/50 method until you figure out which one.

I had one mod that just had an update to resolve this exact same problem. I don't recall which mod it was though.
  • That's why I make sure after I got the front door, to have a locked for anyone but household & for good measure, I have a disallow trespassing for Solicitors, Neighbors & Vampires. I only allow friends. Also, I have a locked for anyone but household on the gate.
  • Aw ok I wasn’t sure if this was a new thing or not. So I wonder if this a slice of life thing as well. I’ll try it out tomorrow. Thank you ?

  • My Sims' lot has a security gate. Two inside are celebrities. The only problem arises when they unlock the door to allow in invited guests, and my Rock Star's Stan wanders inside. :open_mouth: I haven't noticed any increase in other Sims trying to come over, though.
  • I have this problem specifically when playing on a residential (or apartment) lot that is next to an area that spawns festivals. When the festival ends, the festival vendors head for the nearest place they can fill their needs (usually sleep or bladder) and that happens to be my house/apartment. I have to keep the doors locked when playing at those locations. Otherwise, they just walk right in (without knocking) and take a nap on my couch or start using the toilet. But when I play at a residential lot that does not have a festival area nearby, I never have this problem.
  • This happened recently to a couple of my families in Newcrest. I do not use any mods. In the first case, a random townie entered my Sim's house and started using the computer. In another incident, Judith Ward entered the home of a different Sim & she started dancing to the music playing on the radio. After those two instances, I made sure that each of my played houses had locked doors.
