Re: What happened in your game today?

Yes, I decided to give Cantrell Chronicles one more try. I love my characters too much to let them end this way. So, I decided to create their ancestors in a different way.  I thought, I'll start with Aaron and his brother Joseph Alistar.  I'll age them down from Elders in order to create their parents, Nicholas and Alicia. I saved that small family group and here's what I got once I placed them on a lot:

If you look at the plumbbob, it's clearly above the box.  It's one of the two kids, Aaron or Joseph.  The good news is when I moved them into the castle, the other kid showed up, right as rain.  However, the box is still on the lot . . . At least until I placed a house there, anyway. So strange, so nutty.

Other than that, all is seemingly well with my game. I added others to the family, such as Aaron's grandparents, George and Abigail.  After those two deceased, I built Aaron's children (minus Joseph since getting rid of the doppelganger proved fruitless). What it all amounts to is Julianna is not Joseph's biological mother; but I have a backstory for that. She died in childbirth with her third child. So, Aaron wasn't stepping out on his queen, after all . . . Oh, what we do to fix the sometimes glorious messes, the game hands to us.  🙃

In the meantime, before all of the ancestors have passed away. I placed the Cantrell family you're familiar with in Del Sol Valley. In the early evening, Joseph Sr., dressed up in a nice suit to go take care of 'business'.  He left his wife and kids in Del Sol Valley and joined the royal's household by way of household management.

Aaron was delighted his firstborn son was home, so delighted he made him the dynasty heir.  Shortly thereafter the elderly man keeled over.  Prior to that Michael, Joseph's full brother died of embarrassment, his last words, "I told you it wouldn't work." Julianna was so overcome with grief at the loss of her husband and his son, that she died of a broken heart.

Joseph was quick to grab the rank left over. He joined the Noble career in order to do so. He is now the King of Ondarion.  Then I used household management again, to shuffle the two households, changing them out one at a time until our familiar Cantrell family is whole again, minus the horses. But not after adding all of the Cantrells to the dynasty. They have much work to do in order to stabilize the House of Cantrell.

The Goldens, in the meantime have moved to Verdemar. I do intend for them to set up a dynasty, but not immediately. This way when Erik dances with the "commoner", once Drake gets his DNA tests back proving he is a direct descendant of the Golden Dynasty founder, all of those snobs will have to eat their own words. I hope they used enough spice to make them tasty . . .

Today I will begin by placing the noble Talek Sen Dene and creating their dynasty. I won't worry about Sirok, whom I consider the founder. I just can't go through the silly hoops again. It will be sufficient, that Spock is a noble.

Erik is closing in on becoming a B-Lister. He will do some tweaking of this song, It Hurts Both Ways, but since it's only Fall of 2275, he will wait until just before Spring of 2276 to license it.

It is great that your rebuilding of the Cantrell and the other households are going along okay now. I hope that your rebuilding up of the families continue to proceed with not too many issues.

I am so glad that you seem to be finding a way to get your family back in order!! Perhaps during this new journey something will come to light and inspire you that might not have before and it will make the whole ordeal feel as if it had purpose. :)
