I tend to play realism. In my Legacy, it's just the Sims going about their days and their careers and relationships.
With that said, I've found that I can't bring myself to play the game for extended periods of time anymore because I get bored so fast. I started a family after Pets came out, made a few Pets and moved them into a house, and when I was there I was just like "now what..." Maybe I should play with the fantasy elements more.
