I wonder, if you have Outdoor Retreat... what if you just come and plop a tent and fire pit/grill down there to live there? Brew a few elixirs to fill hygiene and, as long as there's a public toilet, you're good to go.
I'm going to put the tent and freezer box from Outdoor Retreat in my Sim's inventory to live there, just in case. You can cook in a cauldron though so wouldn't go hungry.
My Sim families could live in Sulani for a long time without having to buy a house by using a couple of tents on a beach or by using a spa with a bedroom. I also used them in Jungle Adventure. I.L.s Sulani and Outdoor retreat both have an outdoor shower.
