You know what's *mind boggling* to me? They want to make money and we simmers, I do believe have shown, that we are definitely willing to shell it out. At this point, we would probably be willing to spend a bit more money on an expansion pack, game pack, OR stuff pack that was truly unique, creative, innovative, and had plenty of content for us to play with instead of just giving us content from previous Sims games and saying..."Look what you get to pay for again! Oh, but we split it up.". Am I the only one who thinks they should've had most of what we had in the Sims 3 already in the Sims 4 base game so they would have to give us different expansions? Things like weather, laundry, holidays, and things of that nature and THEN make stuff packs/game packs adding more onto those aspects while expansion packs actually...felt, like you know, an expansion? Geebus. :/
I've been saying that for a while now. I mean, honestly at this point in the game the base should come with weather, cars, open world, CASt, pets, laundry, and the base items that have been around since Sims 1. I mean, way back then we got dishwashers as part of the base. Yet we didn't with Sims 4. Did we have to pay for dishwashers? I can't remember, or did they give them to us via a patch?
We got them patched in.
Okay, cool. because it's been a while and I just couldn't remember. lol Though I wish they would update the dishwashers and give them the option like washing machines. You can continue to load them, then you click the "start dishwasher" option. That would make it so much more user friendly.
Heck I miss the compressor trash bins that we had in 2 and 3. And the nostalgic house phones. I know times have changed and people don't really use one anymore but I miss little things like that. Or lying in bed not sitting on the side of the bed to talk to a spouse because let's be honest who really does that? If I'm talking with my husband in bed I'm not sitting on the side of the bed I'm lying in bed next to him it just seems more intimate and it seems like the intimacy between lover sims just isn't there anymore.
Back on topic lol
I've been playing today and struggling through the vet clinic because of its recycled system from dine out and retail etc. I had 3 bad sims days where it was just chaos and I had to close my clinic early but finally I had a decent day. I still don't understand why they chose to recycle a system that wasnt up to par.
YEEEESSSSS! I loved the trash compacter. lol It's just little things. Or your sims playing Marco Polo. Some of my favorite memories of my child and teen sims, are of them spending hot summer days in their back yard playing that. And just having your sim chill in bed reading a book. That's gone. Or watch TV, or ever chat with their hubby. And the cuddle option! Or how they spoon each other at night while sleep. Why are all these options gone? And I too and one of those players who miss having a home phone. True, 90% of the time in Sims 2 and Sims 3 I have my sims use their cells, but I still like having the option. :D I miss the news papers too!
We are almost 3.5 years into this game, and we still can't play our own way. lol And we are still lacking basic features that we had in the older games.
But back on topic, I might have posted about this before - can't remember. But the last time I had my sim play her vet lot (she's pregnant now, and is having super bad morning sickness, so she can't work) her assistant just stood around, taking patients but not working on them. So say my sim took pet A and her assistant took pet B.
Her assistant would try and start the exam at the same time as my sim. So they would both stand there with the route fail bubble. And they would do this dance three times. I ended up canceling the exam. Then my sim's assistant would just stand there, then finally she would preform the exam. And it would take sooooooo long. I think I leveled her up to 2 or 3. But it still takes her about 2.5 sim hours to help a pet. Why does that take so long?
And then after treating one pet, she will walk around the clinic, talk to other sims, not clean up vomit and wet spots. Customers moods then drop because the place is dirty. So my sim is trying to treat pets, clean up, keep instructing her employee to clean. It's getting very tiresome.

Here's just a taste of my day at the clinic. Then there was something going on with my sims quing system she conversing with someone but the sim isn't showing up in the left. Then she was stuck with a patient I was trying to get her to take and it was just a mess. At one point the 3 other employees I had did start examining patients but they kept going off the table I think one actually successfully did one.
Edited to add: they were all at the highest level. Maxed out. So there's no excuse why this should have been a mess. I have since deleted my game (I still have a back up) from frustration and started a fresh save. I'm working on remodelling all of the lots and giving all premades makeovers. Idk if I even want to jump in a play anymore when I'm done.
