I agree with the animation recycle thinggies, the lack of new animations is serious. Sims spend a lot of time talking and I am tired of my sims waving their hands the same ways over and over, even when the topics are different. So I feel we should call them out when we see it, not comparing them to TS3 and other games, because it could only get worse with The Sims 5 (remember we only got toddlers because we were very vocal about that).
With our talented cc creators, we got enough recolors going around, plus brand new 3D meshes of hair, clothing, shoes, accessories, furnitures and tons of makeups, tatoos etc we do not need EA to spend their expensive time on that (everyone should google and follow at least one cc site, sims4update, lana cc finds, thesimsresource etc, you will see what I'm talking about).
For example, I remember when we asked about Pets not being controllable, they told us that pets would be more realistic that way and they prefer to spend more time on the Vet career (which is even more disappointing than the Doctor career). If you ever played a Doctor, the collapsed patients would stand up right away and walk to the surgery table after the Doctor whispers in their ears. There is not even a special walk or helping hands, a gurney or a wheelchair should have been an obvious choice, but no, *reality* is the first priority. We need to count animations first in each pack, not another tshirt or rug as new assets.
Some players absolutely do not use mods and CC - we expect that from the people who make the game - so speak for yourself. I do not want content from you - I want recolors from the people who actually make the game - the stuff I do not have to worry about every time the game updates. Been there - done that - won't do it and shouldn't have to. I appreciate all the recolors MAXIS can add. So please do not decide for me what I want and what I prefer to come from Maxis.. Tell me only when CC and mod makers can make stuff that always works with game updates and recodes - then maybe I might care what they make.
This simmer wasn’t deciding anything for you, they were were reacting to the subject of the topic and giving their opinion about it. I didn’t use any CC for four years (2010-2014) nor did I have to pay for recolours Maxis added. I recoloured everything myself, in the game.
Well go for it - let me see you recolor all your content in Sims 4 yourself. So when we can't do it without making cc ourselves and without proper color channels in the objects, and proper tools ingame to supply the ability to recolor - then what? This is not Sims 3 - we actually need recolors from Maxis or have the same mismatch disaster Sims 1 had where furniture and clothing were concerned. How do we do that in THIS game. We asked when the game was coming out and were told no those tools would not be in this game and cannot be added after the fact. But they did promise to occasionally add new recolors and new swatches when they could. They are actually doing what they said they would do - and people complain over that and some of us asked for that. Me included so I am not going to join the anti - recolors train. I felt at least having recolors and more swatches of things was better than the just 4 or so colors of each thing the base game came with. So yes - some of us asked and they delivered at least what could be done. And no - I will never get on board with not at least getting what we could. Don't mean I don't wish with all my heart we had the great recoloring ability that Sims 3 has - but I have faced that is never going to happen apparently because they said so train - and will accept at least more recolors - all I can get - we need more as some stuff still doesn't match to my liking.
