@Stormsview I agree that they did a good job making the toddlers when EA finally decided that the game needed toddlers and of course also very impressing toddlers to get the sales numbers up where EA wanted them! I also agree that the devs for once listened to the forum when they decided how to make the toddlers. But all this only one more time prove to me that it hadn’t been EA’s intention to add toddlers at all and that the toddlers were only added out of desperation because the reviews and the sales numbers weren’t good enough.
Beside that the simplified babies and simplified teens stayed in the game because it would have been way too expensive for EA to change that now. But I am quite sure that EA also regretted those simplifications in the same way as EA regretted the omission of toddlers. So let us hope that EA just learned a lesson and won’t make such simplifications and omissions again for the next Sims games!
Anyway I also don’t agree with EA in the focus on autonomy which EA decided to focus on in TS4 - first for the sims but now also for the pets. This idea was also now used in the Sims Mobile where we only are able to control our adult family members. But hopefully EA will drop this autonomy focus in TS5 such that we again can control all our sims! (I don’t care about the ability to control pets too though.)
