Recycling old content and a lack of creativity in development

I enjoy about everything Sims 3 came up with. But I've always hated the recycled animations and the wide range of barbecues I could choose from. I quite enjoyed Sims Medieval, but I very much regretted the copied animations there as well. There is no connection between enjoying the gameplay and minding (or not minding) what the OP is adressing.
