Copy and paste from where? Can't be from another game seeing even the machine language is different never mind the games are made using different systems. Apparently this system does not support those things other wise we'd have them. You cannot copy and paste from other sims games to another - the game will not even be able to use or read them never mind even allow them in the game. They have nothing in common at all. If making games was so easy they would not need so many people to make them - never mind pay the salaries they pay or the education you need to have one of those jobs.
Where ever did you get the notion you could do those things. Try putting stuff in your present games from past games and watch what happens. LOL. The one talking about recycled content is with in this game and is just recolors from within this game - which I know a lot of people have asked for now and then because we could match things. That is not unusual with in a game - when there is no way for us to recolors content - but you can only do that within the same exact game.
I believe he meant not literally copying and pasting an section. What he meant was copying an feature and then pasting it in the current version using the language that this version is using.
Some people do actually seem to believe they can do that as there is so much talk lately on copying for other Sims games as if they could. LOL.
Or they believe for some weird reason that these things were in the game and cut out so EA could charge more money. I have seen newbies even saying things like that. So you never know.
