Red glow around townie/NPC?

That’s odd, there are so many little things in this game, you learn something new all the time. I wonder if it was some effect from a food or drink? I know several of the drinks (like the festival fountains from CL) cause glowing effects, although I didn’t think red was one of them. I guess as long as it isn’t causing any harm, I must admit I’m intrigued by it though. :)
