I agree it's like the innovations, the immersions, the attention to details in the past, just don't matter anymore, any sub standard game will do. The Sims have nosed dive from the pinnacle of pure gaming to the lowly depths of being being just one of a million trivial casual games

i just finally finished watching the video, i made this post early on. made me realize there were so many things on past games, even stuff i never realized was there. there was so much i missed.i had such high hopes for the sims 4. watching the original sims 4 trailer with all the people staring at the green light in the sky, that commercial used to make me emotional, i couldnt wait to get my hands on the game. watching that commercial again just now still had the same effect on me as when i first saw it. funny thing, the sims motto play with life changed to come to life in the sims 4 trailer, sadly thats the biggest thing missing. i dont feel the life in this game. i think with everything thats been learned from the past, the sims 5 has the potential to be the greatest one yet with todays technology. i think there will be a 5, and so hope they use what they learned.

Ah yes, the good old days of Sims 1, where you were lucky enough to fill your needs before work that paid you pitifully and expected you to somehow have friend requirements met even though you never had the time to make any friends... The good old days when !rosebud;!;!;!;!... is burned in my brain just so I could have time for my Sim to go around to the community lots that I built for 2 minutes before his needs fell to red again. The good old days where every Sim I ever made had to waste their first day or two reading a cookbook just to make a sandwich.What's so good about them again? :p The only thing I miss from the good old days is how Sims would go around approving or disapproving stuff on their lots.

In those days they weren't simplified and generic, neither were the worlds they lived in.

100 items per Expansion?

We get more than that in a $20 Game Pack.

A lot of that stuff is great, but at the same time, all the Sims 4 trailers look amazing also.

The fact that I know TS1-3 so well is exactly why I know they’re not anywhere as good as TS4.

Haha yes, so true... the needs in sims 1 were horrendous lol.
