Remembering the good old days....
I often find myself filled with anger when it comes to the sims 4, especially when i see people so quick to defend it. do they not know about the past? though i remember lots of feelings about past...

Remembering the other iterations does not mean we can not compare them. It is after all how many individuals tend to remember by comparing. The thread here was mostly civil.
Personally, I only played The Sims and Sims 4. Even seeing the trailers and gameplay footage, I had no interest in playing Sims 2 or Sims 3. My reason was why pay for a new iteration when the original still worked. I enjoyed playing the original without expansions, mods, or cc for just over 15 years. It is just too bad that my new computer with Windows 10 would not allow that game to be installed, as I would still be playing it. I then watched videos of Sims 3 and Sims 4 to see which would fit my gameplay style. I saw more of what I would enjoy in Sims 4. I just never saw any great appeal of Sims 2 or Sims 3, but I know others enjoyed it.
