There’s a huge difference between milk allergies and lactose intolerance. My mom has a genuine milk allergy which means consumption of dairy products actually affects her airways and can potentially send her into anaphylaxis which can be fatal. Lactose intolerance can potentially send someone to the restroom for an inordinately lengthy period of time.
They aren’t mocking milk allergies at all, in fact they aren’t even presenting them, and they really aren’t mocking lactose intolerance they’re simply offering players an option to have some small game pushback from a non fatal but inconvenient situation. I do agree though with not wishing it to take up one of only 3 personality trait slots. I wish we could get either more slots, or even a separate set of slots for sims personal preferences or challenges.
