If this is such an issue for players, how can Maxis ever fulfil the wish of disabled Sims in the game?
To be honest, I dont even think they should. Regardless of how they present disabled sims, there's going to be alot of people unhappy with the execution. Ive noticed that there's always 3 arguments that tend to come up whenever disabled sims is brought up.
1) "Adding disabled sims is politics and agenda pushing and the time spent making disabled sims is time that could've been spent adding worthwhile gameplay!"
2) "I have a disability and I want to see it represented in the game. However, it must be done respectfully and every single disability has to be included. If my disability isnt there, then clearly Maxis is not inclusive!"
3) "I have a disability and I dont want it represented. My disability makes my life difficult and I dont want to be reminded of it in the game. Maxis could never do it respectfully, especially when (non-disabled) simmers can just decide that their sim's disability is too annoying and just edit it away!"
