I finally settled to play Realm of Magic, and while I knew children can't really *be* magic, I was very surprised to see they are completely removed from any and all magic gameplay.They can't drink potions, can't have spells cast on them. I disappointed about that as well. I understand why using mean spells on children is crossing the line. But practical spells, scruberoo, or things to help them like the potion that refills their needs should work. Is it so hard for the developers to imagine a spellcaster who actually cares for their children and wants to help them?I hope someone makes a mod to allow the positive spells on children and toddlers.

If they had said something along the lines of "We didn't have the time / the resources to make magic properly work for/on children", I would have at least appreciated the honesty while still waiting for a mod to fix that. Little Miss Sam has a mod that allows you to cast scruberoo on toddlers.

I know we shouldn't have to rely on mods, but if you're not averse to using it I would recommend it.

Also I can't believe there's nothing magical about children. They have the animation for it in cas, why couldn't they just make a couple spells for children like cloning toys completing homework Etc.

I would like to turn my kids and toddlers into gnomes and other objects to put them on time out.
Toddler or child not obeying? Cast the Minion spell on them.

I don’t think those spells are going to far.

When toddlers were still new, I had one that didn't want to let herself get consoled by the parents after a nightmare in the middle of the night. I made them grab the toddler, place her in the garden in leave her there until morning.

Throwing out a wild guess that an emotion calming spell would have been kinder for the little one...

If this is your head-canon that is perfectly fine . What I don't like is this head-canon being forced on people who would prefer to tell a different story.

I would like my spellcaster to care for their child to their best ability, which for a spellcaster should be by using magic. Now they are incredibly selfish, using the need filling potion on themselves but denying it to their children. I would like to have the possibility to decide myself if my sims use magic to raise their kids or not instead of the decision being made for me.
