The sales seem to happen pretty much every other week nowadays, we get the "January Sale" followed by the "Valentines Sale" followed by the "20th anniversary sale" followed by the "quarantine sale". I'm sure there'll be another one pretty soon, they've been doing game packs 50% off recently but I'm not sure if thats ended

Expansions packs go on 50% off sales several times a year.

Game Packs go on 25% off regularly during the year, but about once or twice a year they go to 50% off. So you have to patient if you want to save more money on those.

Stuff packs rarely, sometimes only once a year, go on sale for a few dollars off. This year was an exception.

You can also check other stores like Target.com for deals. I have purchased packs on decent sale (including stuff packs) on Best Buy, Walmart and Target.

CdKeys usually have good sales on expansion packs. I just bought Island Living for £9.99 a few minutes ago on their daily deal. They also have all of the other expansions except Eco Lifestyle between £12.99 and £15.99 each but they could be on the daily deal tomorrow.

Get packs around Christmas because that is when you can get bundles dirt cheap. When faced with choosing the latest Codex or new Games Workshop Hottness or THe Sims Games Workshop always wins. I can't afford both The Sims full price and models and terrain for Warhammer 40k Age of Sigmar, Malifaux and Vanguard and Magic Cards. I usually buy packs in bundles when they go for half price and bundles are cheap too, It gives me time to hear what everyone is saying about new packs and give me time to sift through the data and decide if to get them or not. I thought Laundry Day and Parenthood were the stupidest things for packs initially but then I read other simmers reviews on both packs and found them surprisingly good packs. I always have a washer and dryer in my builds now. It also means I can build my crew and killer deck first. Sorry, to all the simmers out there but my love for RPGs, Larping Cosplay, Tabletop Miniatures and cards for Magic and Vanguard will always be greater than my love of The Sims.
