How are we supposed to trust them? Everything now is "too hard" or "too expensive" or both.

Do you have a degree in IT? Have you ever worked on game development before? I'm really interested to know.
i only worked for programming for commerce(system for stores), but i have friends which actually work with game developers and when i showed to then sims 4 and all the excuses and the lacklusters they really laughted about how "poor the game was developed" and say which this game really was not designed to be "a top game".
