One of my favourite oddball moments actually comes from the Sentiments system. I really like the system, most of the time...but sometimes even seemingly-trivial situations can lead to rather bitter Sentiments! Father Winter, of ALL people, calls my Sim quite late at night. He asks him: 'Is a hotdog a sandwich?' My Sim responded with 'no', and then Father Winter has a Festering Grudge sentiment against him. Imagine getting coal for Christmas because you disagreed with Santa over the classification of a hotdog : P
