School Outfits

Whenever I follow my Sim to school everyone always seems to be wearing after-school club t-shirts and outfits.

Is this a feature, or a bug? And is there a way to make everyone wear their own clothes instead of these outfits?

I don't have the pack yet, but my understanding is that this is basically like school spirit days.

That being said, if you have Get Together, I would try having your active sim use the "ask to see outfit __" Friendly interaction on the other sims. This is what I always use when my sim invites other sims over or to a location and they show up wearing something inappropriate. (Usually weird festival attire, or when they show up to formal events wearing their winter coats.)

I think they wear the club outfit on days of the club meetings. I don't know for sure; still haven't played a full Sim week.
  • It could also be tied to the Trendi feature where sims will wear popular styles? I wouldn't be surprised if the tuning of that is wonky
  • I think it is a gameplay setting. Sometimes students wear club T-shirts, and another day they will all wear sports clothes, maybe it attaches to the specific occasion which will take place after school, like association recruitments or sports day on the sports field. I like the viral trend of teenagers. Unless they wear non-preset outfits all the school days, I think your game drives into bugs at this time.
  • Yeah, it's a game thing. EAxis loves finding new ways to get sims out of the clothes you set up for them. Counting these, I now have over a hundred instances that I've found and modded out. It's one of my two main crusades against the game, the other being stopping the hundreds of random sims from being generated for things like walking by wearing a pizza outfit.
  • They're definitely wearing the t-shirts/outfits more often than not. Why go to the effort of dressing all your Sims for them to wear those ugly blue shirts all the time?
