Hey, that might actually set my world on fire for this pack. Thanks for the heads up.- InuMiroLover5 years agoSeasoned AceThe winter theme is fine with me, but my inner weeaboo is SCREAMING right now. Yukatas? Onsen? PLEASE tell me my sims can sip sake. I just KNOW the build buy and debug are going to be amazing.
- RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm excited about everything! :)
What I'm most excited about:
The world is gorgeous! I love all the cherry blossom trees and Japanese maple trees!
The ability to meditate on mindful walks.
Scenic hikes.
130 new CAS items!
Shoji doors, windows, and screens (non-CC)!
Tatami mats, koi, rock gardens, maple trees.
Hot springs and bamboo forests.
Sushi options.
Kid's hat with bunny ears.
Japanese-style bridges (at least in the world, probably not to build with).
Cute pre-mades.
Light rail/train. Can our Sims get on it as rabbit hole transportation?
Looks like some cute clothes, including that black and white jacket.
Kids can do snow activities!
I like that one of the snowboards lights up. :)
Camping out on the mountain!
Onsen to share with other Sims!
Centipedes, lol!
Looks like maybe a rabbit-hole temple?
New prayerful pose?
New fridge and bonsai tree.
New fireplace and low table.
There are lots of new details I didn't mention that I like, but just aren't my favorites. I can't wait for this pack! - paigeisin55 years agoSeasoned Ace

Good find! I did not see that mentioned anywhere. This is a big step forward in the traits and aspirations department. I wonder if this will be in the pack only, or released in the pre-ep update?
I'm actually liking both of the first two choices. I have always admired the Japanese culture, and I'm a big fan of snow activities. Its a win-win for me. - GlacierSnowGhost5 years agoSeasoned AceIt's actually both for me. I grew up in a ski resort town, and I later lived for a few years in Japan, so I am excited to see two themes that both relate to important parts of my real life history combined together like this. But I have especially been wanting a Japan inspired sims world because I have a lot of nostalgia for my years there, so I am very pleased to see this.
- Isharell5 years agoSeasoned AceI like both aspects. It's like a two-for-one pack!
- simkitten875 years agoNew Acenow that ive seen the trailer my answer would be both. i mean the whole thing looks cool. the japanese theme and the winter activities all look exciting.
- I'm really looking forward to learning all about the culture and traditions.
- Rey_Estupendo5 years agoSeasoned AceDefinitely the Japanese theme.
I hate snow and winter in The Sims. I hate that my sims have compulsions to go shovel snow, even in places where it doesn't need to be shoveled and even on community lots. I hate random blizzards (and thunderstorms, while I'm at it). I hate that for some reason having a thermostat turned on high doesn't seem to do anything to the temperature of my houses and my sims all still walk around wearing coats and hats indoors. - RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceI was really nervous about the winter thing. I've only been around snow a few times IRL, and I dislike it for the most part in the game. I'm so happy that much of the new world is green!
