Seasons - hate it how to turn off entire pack

I love Seasons but the splicing problem is an issue which prevents one way of getting rare seeds. However as your sim advances through the career the ability to buy rare seeds from the catalogue is unlocked and quite a number can be found by fishing. Another problem is that sims in the science career can no longer garden because the plants renew themselves (bloom or give produce, dry out or gain weeds) at 6 am. There is a mod which allows scientists to start work earlier, but it is otherwise a really annoying problem.
