I started my game in Summer and added some custom holidays to the calendar for every season. I thought the holidays would stay there until and if they were removed. Since summer is almost over now, the first days of summer have begun to show on the bottom of the calendar (I guess it scrolls like TV credits?) but the holiday that I added to the beginning of summer isn't there. Do I have to add them EVERY year?!

I thought that if I put a holiday in the calendar my neighbourghs would decorate. So I created the Flower holiday for summer. But none of my neighbourghs's house were decorated. Would they be decorated only for holidays put in the calendar by the game?

Thank you Chazzzy! I actually find this same info from the EAs bug report page too. And maybe the problem with creating new holidays is the same that I can’t make them in middle of the season. Ziafar have you selected theme for the decoration for your holiday? In my game neighbours will decorate, even retail and commercial lots.

There's a dropdown menu in the upper right corner when creating your holiday. It's called 'Decoration Theme.' That's where you choose the decorations for the neighborhood.

Ziafar have you selected theme for the decoration for your holiday? In my game neighbours will decorate, even retail and commercial lots.

For me the holidays are staying the whole "year". Have the week ended? Because the bottom of the calendar will only show full weeks. Maybe the holidays are "greyed out" ?

There is no greying out. I believe the full first week of summer has appeared and there's no holidays in it. I had previously put a holiday for the first day of summer. Maybe it is a bug D: but that's horrible to hear the saves aren't allowing you to create holidays!

This is horrible! D: I created a couple holidays for the same reason. Now, knowing the neighbors won't decorate I feel bad about it.

Interesting. Can we decorate homes in San Myshuno, cause I tried and it's greyed out. :(
