Those aren't seasons things though. Regardless, I completely agree I hope we don't get a world either and get the best Seasons EP with no excuses of not having enough resources to do it right. I want umbrellas and rain coats and pets reacting to the weather and power outages and thunderstorms that set the trees on fire, swimmable oceans and floaties and sandcastles and jumping in leaf piles. EVERYTHING.

Very much this. Also a weather channel that predicts the weather for tomorrow and if your sim gets caught in the rain without an umbrella they get miserable.

And how about a temperature gauge? If it's very hot or very cold your Sim might have to take precautious when they go outside.

Winter is the season with most things to do, but I don't want spring and summer to get left out this time.

I want all the plants to be affected by the seasons, not just covered in a layer of snow.

And new traits that relate to weather.

And an empty world.

When I think about swimmable oceans, I'm not sure how that would work. It would require the functional altering of towns that have seasides. And a decision of exactly where you'd be allowed to swim to.

I hope they bring back the festivals and holidays. That was one of my favorite parts of seasons.

The only problems I can foresee with seasons are
1 - Since the clouds we currently have are basically 2D bands in the sky, how will they implement different skies?
2 - How will they change background neighbourhood scenery to match the weather, ie, snow?

Exactly my concerns.

I don't want backdrops changing all of the sudden like a switch where *BOOM* it's fall now or *BOOM* snow.

I hope they manage to make backdrops gradually update and change. Same for the skies.

Best thing in Sims 3 were the subtile weather changes like slowly stopping raining, slowly clearing up etc. I hope they manage to do that again this time.

It would probably work like the festivals, like someone pointed out earlier. The bigger change would be how temperatures and precipitation would affect the Sims' moods and such. I could see Sims getting that sad face and a poor moodlet from getting soaked (like with the Toddler interaction) or overheated (like the fatigued moodlet after working out too much). Maybe Hygiene could also drop faster in summer...?

Maybe the coding for Seasons will be in the April Patch.

OMG, I’m sooo excited for Seasons! I want the weather and temperature efffects, some clothing, and maybe some animations and seasonal activities (like little snow-play activities, fall activities—jumping in leaves or taking them, and maybe a few minor festival activities, and so on). ^_^

A good Seasons Pack will give me goodwill after that recent SP debacle. I need more pack content, please and thank you! :)
