[Sept Sale] Another Sale but only up to 50% again

Three sales from June till September, first did have up to 60% (and I spent quite a bit) but not the 2nd and 3rd (current), and of course I am waiting for 60%. That I know of sales really haven't been this frequent, so I assume it is due to the times, but I am really disappointed two sales in a row haven't been up to 60% and I don't want to buy at 50% when I know they can be 60%.

Is this an insult or that EA is hurting that bad they cannot afford 60% off anymore?

What does this mean no more 60% sales? Only really old packs were up to 60% anyways, but I was slowly buying up the ultra old packs while buying some new packs, as I am barely playing Sims 4 for the past year (since L&D).  edit: note I have a decent size wishlist waiting to buy packs but waiting at 60%, so on hold till then.

A few of us were rather upset last sale as it was advertised up to 60% but instead of honoring amended the adverts to 50%. So what does this ultimately mean?

  • In past years, the best sales have occurred during the Winter/Holiday sale. However, last year’s Black Friday sale also had some older EPs at 60% off.

That's funny you say that because though I only been playing/buying within the past year I swear I caught multiple 60% sales though a couple may have been black Friday/holidays, others were not. Maybe there is no rhyme or reason in the past year.

    Yes, I did buy a pack for 60% during that sale, but June/July 2025 had a 60%. The first sale I ever bought was only up to 50% as I didn't know there was up to 60% sales. It went 50% sale (Oct 2024) -> 60% sale (Nov 2024) -> 60% sale (Dec/Jan 2024/2025) -> took a break/unknown sales -> 60% (June/July 2025) -> 50% (August 2025) -> 50% (Sep 2025), from when I first started buying/playing.

Just as a new player the past year, 60% seemed more usual than non, and once I realized sales yo-yo'ed, and I bought at the higher price the first time, I felt ripped off, and have been chasing 60% (for older packs, newer I don't mind 50% as they seem like fuller more effort packs).

edit: I think I am just still cheesed at the last sale adverting 60% off, but wasn't then was amended instead of honored.

Occasionally, the older EPs will appear on sale for 60% off during other times of the year.  But, the Winter/Holiday sale has consistently offered the highest discounts overall.

  • For anyone curious, here is the full discount list for the current sale on the EA App Store:

    • Businesses & Hobbies - 25% off
    • Life & Death – 38% off
    • Expansion Packs: Get to Work up to Lovestruck – 50% off
    • Game Packs – 30% off
    • Stuff Packs – 30% off
    • Pre-Made Bundles: Love & Family, Get Dating – 25% off
    • Pre-Made Bundles: Pet Lover's, Everyday Sims, Decorator's Dream - 20% off
    • Build-A-Bundle (EP + GP + SP) 42% off
    • Adventure Awaits Expansion, Enchanted By Nature Expansion & Kits are excluded from the sale.

The sale ends on September 25th.

  • No, I just want life and death at 50%. I think once this part comes out at the next sale it might finally be there.
