Setting up a club, need help with requirements

Hi! Sorry if this is a dumb question, but my sim is setting up a dance club and I'm trying to make it so that people can join if they have the dance machine trait, or if they have skill in dancing. But it seems that by having those requirements potential members must have BOTH the skill and the trait... is there any way to make it so they only need one or the other?

Thanks :)

  • there isn't if you set it as the clubs requirements

i'd suggest, you set only dancing skill as required, it's level 2 i think & use the other only to find potential members
if you play rotationally then set the club as open to join, that way every sim you like to have to join the club can learn dancing & join easily

    Aw man that's annoying :/

Thanks for the advice though :)
  • what can be done with club requirements though is, to choose different traits simultanously, then not every of the traits is required only one of them
i have a club with required traits mean, evil, insane, jealous, loner, gloomy & hot headed, the head of the club has only the mean trait, it was easier that way to find several potential club members

  • You could also make two separate groups, one for each requirement, and always have them meet together. You'd just have to make sure you have (a) sim(s) in your household for both requirements.

What you could do is firstly set as "dance machine" trait to find the sims with that trait for the initial setup. Then, once you have that core group of sims in the club, remove the requirement and set it to skill requirement instead.

Won't they get automatically removed from the club then, when you change requirements? Though you could add them based on the trait, then start a gathering and have them dance so their dance skill level increases, then change the requirements to dance skill.

Yeah, they do. It's also impossible if your founding sim/group leader doesn't have the dance machine trait.

I decided to just keep it as having both requirements (dance machine and dancing skill level) as I figured the only sims I'll be adding are the ones I play, and if I have a dance machine sim I'll get their skill level up to meet requirements.
