No, I don't think they should do this. Saying this as a 50+ who's going back to university part-time, with other family who didn't go to college at all but somehow actually were the same age as their peers who did. There's no separate "going to college" age. It's not a thing. I don't want it to be a thing in my game, either. I want my Sims to be able to go to university whenever it's the right time for them to go, and I don't want university-going Sims having years added to their lives because of it.
As for Teens going, I'd love that as an option. I suspect it won't be added by Maxis when they do University though, so I'll be looking to modders, as I do now for dropping out of school.
