Collaborations make money. Money is needed to make the game. If I don't like it I don't use it or buy it. It does not directly affect me so I'm not worried. I don't wear makeup. They made a Sims palette that I am not buying. They made expensive cloths a while back that I did not buy. I'm not getting my panties in a wad because a company that makes a game I like is making money.
If drink a Coke it does not mean I buy all their merch that Coke puts out or agree with what their parent corporations do.
If I watch a YT video it does mean I have to go buy the creators merch.
This is all capitalism at it's best. (an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state)
Just because something is produced does not mean I have to consume it or use it or buy it.
