My sims will die 100% of the time if I don't keep pools gated, so I usually place a fence around them.

this sentence is so funny to me because i too fence around my pools... for the opposite reason :sweat_smile: if you just got rid of the landing and the gates...:innocent:

I don't usually give pools to my sims, so they are mostly on public pool or in a rental lot.

This sim though has her own tiny pool, but the lot started out as a rental, she went to test the lot and sort of remained there. :)

This is another small pool, in a rental. I need to expand the lot for this, I would like to eventually turn it into a spa/wellness retreat/hotel.

These are the two least box-like pools I've made and the ones I'm more proud of.

First is my attempt to disguise a pool as a pond ... or make a swimmable pond ... or, well, there ya go.

I've made plenty of other pools but they mostly come off as "There. Pool. Enjoy."

Yes, if you live in the colder climates, that is true, unless you want your pool to pop out of the ground! I grew up in Southern California.
