Silly little things Sims do that make no sense to us.

"I want to greet Bella. I'm going to walk two blocks away to the point where I first saw her, ignoring her as we walk past one another. Then we'll both walk to my bathroom together, where as soon as I say hello she will wander off and try to create some herbal concoction using my grill."

Spending money in thrift shops when they can get new clothes for free.

It's what they do in their world now because of HSY.
I just do it because I feel like they should pay for clothes. I wish CAS cost them money and thrifting was a less expensive option.
That would make sense.

Playing musical chairs when another sim joins their conversation. Switching seats before ordering a drink at the bar, especially when the bartender was right there in front of them. Going to the fridge to grab leftovers when your spouse is standing there cooking a full meal for you.

Dropping a command to fill a need to complain about that need being low.
"Go shower!"
"But, Enki, I'm filthy! I can't take a shower now! I feel so bad from being filthy!"
"I told you to take a shower!"
"But can't you see I'm dirty?"

Especially mindboggling in castaway challenges, when the sim is dirty and should take a swim, but refuses because swimming is a fun activity and they don't feel like pursuing fun activities from their hygiene being too low.

I had a sim that somehow became a techno phone, and I sent him to work at his wood working bench and he can’t…

Stopping everything they're doing just to give a random piece of furniture a standing ovation.

giving people hugs and waves when you meet them and dropping absolutely everything you were doing for that
including food

putting your plates in strange places instead of reasonable places like on top of your very high half walls or on top of your fireplace (not mantle but higher)

going outside to dance with your beloved because blizzard is absolutely perfect for that and we can't possibly dance anywhere else in our huge house

run around scared whenever there is thunderstorm and also you are already indoors

im pretty sure directions are stay low if you were to really be afraid of being struck by lightning

join in on strangers conversation constantly regardless of if they are on romantic date or not

There is this round table in game that gets dirty but doesn't change texture to show that it's dirty. So my sim would sit and have lunch at that table and always complain that something stinks and I got her to vacuum her floors, moved the table, chairs, carpets thinking there must be something spoilt stuck there that I cannot see. I cleaned her inventory of all things spoilt, etc. it eventually dawned on me that maybe the table is dirty and sure thing, after getting her to clean it, it finally stopped stinking.
