Sim Won't Get Abducted

My sims traits are Geek, Materialistic, and creative And his aspiration is Fortune- fabulously wealthy. Once i started the game i made him get the detective job, he didn't pick up any collections or anything. Once he went to sleep he got up and ran outside to look at a mystery light and he got abducted, then he got dropped off pregnant :( It's so weird that half of the people are getting abducted and half aren't, Once i had the alien baby, two nights later it happened again then again :|
