Sims 4 32-bit shortcut on 64 bit system?

Just installed sims 4 on my new high-end 64-bit pc and while in origin it shows the default option is set and is sims 4 64-bit, but when I open the file location of the shortcut it shows the old TS4 exe 32-bit, in my prev system which was also 64-bit that whole folder containing 32-bit files wasn't even there..

I wonder if something's wrong? I just installed it on a different drive (:D), don't know if that makes any difference..

  • No, there is nothing wrong but you can set the 64 bit one as your shortcut manually. It should be in the Game Bin folder.

How to set it as my default shortcut? Every time origin updates sims 4 it creates a new sims 4 32bit shortcut even after the legacy update abandoned 32bit versions on 64bit systems..

Just locate the TS4_x64.exe file and right click and pick "Send to..." > "Shortcut on desktop". Should work.

But I think recently, a patch has removed my short cut too but I didn't bother putting it back, so I don't know if future patches will keep on doing this.
