Was excited to see imaginary friends introduced but just wondered, are they all only going to be creatable from the same doll toy? Because that is not how children's imaginations work in real life.
For starters, children can create imaginary friends out of their imaginations alone, a toy is not required (at least, I could as a child. Does anyone else do this or am I just odd?) Each imaginary friend is completely unique and different depending on the child. The possibilities are endless. (For a good example, see the film 'IF').
I would really hope there are customisation options with imaginary friends, or at least allow Sims to create them from different toys. I also think imaginary friends should be creatable for all sim ages (this would tie in nicely with the erratic sim option of talking to imaginary friends!)
Am disappointed that this concept is just included as a bit of extra in another pack because it could be expanded and explored creatively a lot more.
Have just seen that the pack introduces schedules, which will not work for me at all. I like to choose when my Sims do things.
Regarding Getaways, it is actually possible to turn any communal lot into a place to stay if you put a bed there. (In fact one could have quite a lot of fun with that... Museum or cemetery sleepovers anyone?)
I was also astonished to see a Love Island inspired getaway option in the pack as I didn't know this show aired outside the UK. Um, I'm not a fan of the show personally and unless that particular gameplay included chances to scare/haunt or prank people (preferably with large quantities of slime, stink bombs, maggots or other kinds of insects or drawing on people), I'm afraid I won't be buying. Same goes for the summer camp. I want my children's imaginary friends to wreck havoc! 😈
