sims 4 CAW, how it gonna work
ok here a post trying to explain how really work a CAW in sims 4 and what is and what is not possible. i'm creating this thread since look some peoples still don't know how the "worlds work in sims...

So, if we got a CAW tool it would be just creating neighborhoods and putting them on a map like OP said. Though it may be possible to just make one large neighborhood which would be the closet thing we can get to a full open world in the Sims 4 (though loading screens for each lot still ruins this)
The upside (to this situation we're in) would be that we could add "interactive" objects to the open world. Like the chest tables, but in this case we can add out own things. Maybe have a little camp ground with horse shoes where sims can hang out. I think we'll need modders though to enable autonomous use of objects so that the sims wondering around will do more than grill and walk by.
Yes, making our own public areas would actually be really nice :)
