I really wish they would chill on the 'Stuff Packs' and focus more on adding new traits, aspirations, story progression, Depth in general!! The Sims 4 is just a lackluster game. I want Toddlers, preteens, supernaturals, pets, weather! No more fluff. I play for 10 mins to check out the new stuff pack then get bored with the lack of game play option some because it's still the same boring game, even with the new objects. Please EA, give The Sims back some life!
So much this. I want depth too. There is only so much fluff an iteration can handle. The game badly lacks life for being referred to as a life simulation game. I'm tired of it feeling like a Kim Kardashian game.

That would be Me, I am not the happy happy joy joy vibe type, I am Gothic 100%, and will be that Forever, cause Vamps and Monsters and graveyards and such I put in my games, are just the best Fun for Me Ever!!, :)
I miss having the Gothic elements in my game as well. You would think with the Goths there, they would be a wee bit more inspired to change it up a little bit. But Pleasantville it is. At this rate, with all the problems my mum is going through with the game, I told her she should play this instead for a little while into fix patches come in (as a harmless little joke).

nice pic :) - i opened today the game & went to test some things in a family of two, an elderly mother with a YA son
1. the son is finished with his athletic aspiration but ...
he is an athlethe, he was made to be that way, there is not much else he should do in his life
i have not played him that much, he is in one of 34 families in the worlds, in fact i played him maybe 3 times tops only in rotation
so to reach the end of his aspiration was a child's play, he did it mainly on his own apparently
he is currently in the police career, the only thing i can do that makes sense is to make him change the career to an athletic
but as something to aspire to, there is not much for him & in general, those aspirations are so dull & of course so few at all
& why he cannot aspire to reach the top of a career ? *
there is not even an aspiration connected to a store owner or restaurant owner - WHY ?
why is this game so BARREN :confounded:
2. the game apparently has sent the minerals his mother is collecting to analyse, what for ? they are not scientists, far from it & the game suggests to buy them a display for those elements, it's all so generic & childish, like i would be 6 years old
the game plays itself, it uses it own options to play them all out randomly, the sims themselves are irrelevant, their traits, their relationships are irrelevant to this game
3. it all feels incredibly gamey - some sort of a game i am not in the least interested to spend my time with
edit
* all relationships were removed from his pannel, even his love interest, only the relationship with his mother is barely hanging on, just a little & they soon don't know each other at all
& a relationship with some chick, he was probably assigned to a restaurant visit with her, they have nothing in common & he knows abolutely nothing about her except that the game tells me in which club she's in, what a game !

I agree that the game is playing itself, I do not like when I am on a household, and My other sims are doing things I do not want on the ones I am not on, it bugs me when I do not find My sims where I left them, it is a Huge pain. "ravamaile;14966437" wrote:
It's time accept that The Sims 4 will never be a full game, no matter how many packs added. It was meant to be an online game, an advanced interactive chat. Online players themselves were meant to provide gameplay with all their romances and fights, not AI. It is just so sad that Maxis attempted to create something like Second Life and failed. The should have thought about the fail of The Sims Online or about us, players. A common Sims player does not want to share his world with another players, he wants to be the one and only god for his sims.
I disagree. I think it would be fun to be able to share my world with another. The whole idea of that would open a complete new interaction. It doesn't have to be a permanent or maybe it should be. If I entered YOUR world it would be your world I could play, interact etc. If you entered MY world, you would be able to interact, etc. That would be the ultimate SIMS game for me."Gruffman;14865886" wrote:
I wish there were more negative emotions ... or maybe the negative emotions were stronger.
I don't fully understand the hates children trait. While I don't expect a sim to be mean to his own child ... i don't think he should also just go around auto-hugging, cuddling and spontaneous acts of love. He gets tense around the friends of the child ... he loves to smash the dollhouse and make the kids cry ... but here champ, have a hug.
My insane sim isn't really insane ... sure he talks to himself a lot ... but if that is the definition of insanity then I am insane as well. And sure, his moods can quickly change ... but thats about it. Let him be obsessive ... let him do something crazy, let him decide its a good time to go jogging outside naked ... but no. He is insane cause a box says he is insane.
I wish they would just push the limits on the negative side. Let your hot-headed sims want to fight everything that passes by on the street when they are angry and not just angry walk all over the house. Let the gloomy sims stay all sad and gloomy and mope around and make others be miserable with them. Let the evil sims be evil ...
Let the darker sides out to play some.

Yes Guru's please do this it would make the game more interesting!!!!

sims 4 just needs to get it together they keep releasing plum no one cares about. we have party stuff food stuff "patio stuff" this is like a continuation of "stuff" we dont need. we had kids stuff and the teens didnt get ANYTHING. ive never seen people willingly get ripped off like this before. in the sims 3 you got so much more plum when you purchased any kind of expansion. its been almost 2 years since the sims 4 dropped and we still don't have anything that actually makes the game play more compelling. like Weather for instance, maybe more animations and interactions amongst family lovers and friends. you cant walk and hold hands, you cant slow dance, when you get married the last names DONT change, men pee sitting down, you have to actually play a household for story progression or add a buggy mod that dose it for you. Everything since the base game has been dry, you cant even walk away with your baby in your arms and then it ages up into a full aged child. There is no way to tell a teen and an adult apart sim 4 is plain and simply dry. Yes the graphics are amazing but most modern games make the mistake of focusing more on the graphics then the gameplay. Ive been a long time sims fan and ive never been so disappointed, where did the creativity go? the fun animations, the realistic feel of the game, sims 4 took away open world for better gameplay and yet the game is still hella buggy. The loading screens alone make me just want to stay home. I dont know where the magic has gone but it is indeed gone, they should be so much more creative then they have been and the sims 4 has so much potential but gets too boring to play now. even the autonomous actions are dull and dry unless you add a mod for that too. i really hope to see the things we miss like more family play, seasons, pets, supernatural beings, cars maybe, natural disasters, or maybe even something as little as MORE ANIMATIONS and INTERACTIONS.

I would have to disagree, I do not wish to have other people go into My worlds and disrupt what I have already put or done to it, so I would like to be the only one who takes care of My sims, none other.
