Sims 4 Royal and Legacy negative thread.

So, my main beef with CAS is that there are a few items with only one swatch. Huh?? Why, oh why would you do that? The royal burglar outfit is so cool, why doesn't it have a black swatch? Or olive green or red or brown? And the private school outfit? Are you telling me there's only one noble school in all of Sim Nation so only one uniform? Why not colors? Even the new socks only have one swatch. 

Get Famous was also stingy on swatches for the costumes. I use them all the time but my Sims are stuck with similar outfits because of so few swatches.

I also would like to see more versatility with hair. I think hairs should come with and without hair jewelry and with and without baby hairs. I just don't like the way baby hairs look on Sims, they don't always work with the head shape or face. I love the styles that have them but hardly use them. (Nothing against baby hairs in real life, I have them myself.) 

Also, male stuff could've been better. They went very creative with Enchanted by Nature (but didn't separate shoes from full body outfits - aargh) so I'd hoped there would be more flamboyant, fancier male stuff. Definitely a few good pieces there, but a lot of same 'ol. Same with female skirts. No full length bell skirt. And no infant outfits. What will the royal babies wear?!

Maybe we need a good infant kit.

lorenjmc98​ I agree about cas. This isn't the first time where the sims team takes what could have been a historical piece of clothing and then change something to make it unusable for historical gameplay like adding a slit or make it too short. 

I was so excited to see the BB/CAS for this pack and some of it is cute, but I just feel disappointed. The giant slit in the Regency Era style dress just feels so out of place, all of the hairs having some type of jewelry in them seems like a poor choice, and I'll be honest a lot of the formal dresses are just ugly. I was expecting more full length ball gowns but most of the dresses are mid calf and I really think true ballgowns are something the Sims4 lacks, but I am very happy we finally got some African culture and representation. Oh yeah, I also just noticed infants didn't get anything in this pack which is a huge shame!

Do you play with story progression active? I don't get many pop-ups (obviously before R&L), maybe because I never used neighborhood stories?

Blackmailing is yet another pop up. I thought that with each new EP giving us more pop ups and the game literally stopping every 10 seconds because of those + phone calls, and this being a very common complain, they finally got it right with Formative Moments in Adventure Awaits being relegated in a sub-menu, allowing you to accept or delete those whenever you wanted without disrupting the flow of the game. 
But no, they HAD to backtrack and re-introduce pop-ups, WHYYYYY, the Formative Moments way of handling this was so perfect 😭 the game is already tedious enough to play as it is with the constant pop ups and they had to add one more

I was planning to leave Houses with no peerage out of the dynasty system, but basically dynasties are houses, and the new system is  not very different from the one I got (ie each House has a focus skill), so I decided to "let them all in" 😁 Most Houses of aristocracy live quite ordinary lives though, I can't really see  why they would need a throne...

Just curious. Do you have any commoners in your game or is everyone titled?

I really like the bb items, but I don‘t like that some of the items are very similar to items from basegame or other packs. That is just lazy. 

There are way too few crest emblems for dynasties! Only 28 motifs, what were they thinking??? In my game I have 28 Houses that have one or more peerages, and in addition there are 27 Houses not holding a peerage. In other words 55 Houses that are now eager to see themselves as Dynasties. And this is just one of my 3 nations, but the kingdom I focus the most on, with more Houses than  the other two.

I so wish we could add custom emblems, I already had crest/icons for all Houses, and will now replace them with those in-game, in order to avoid double. I'm aware that we can choose different crest shapes and background colors, but I'd much preferred fewer shapes and more emblems. Hopefully someone will create CC emblems later.

Why isn't the cornrows with the gold tag for masculine sims. When I guarantee you they were made for them, especially because they are wearing it in the promo videos a lot.  No traits, and only one devious Aspiration. No infant cas items. They should have gotten a dress and suit like toddlers. I don't play male sims but I think they should have gotten armor clothing like the female dress. Unless that one jacket with the buttons on the front is supposed to be the matching one. What kind of jacket is that? Any wish the finger glove wasn't attached. Will use it less now.
